Alpha Kappa Delta is pleased to announce the 2016-2017 recipient:

Eastern Illinois University

In 2016-17, Eastern Illinois University (Eta of Illinois) recognized students for their scholarship and research, supported  students going into sociology or other related professions/occupations, and promoted campus-based and community-based  service activities. Some examples include, but are not limited to, organized informational meetings about career service resources, departmental internship opportunities, and graduate school opportunities and resources on campus; provided final exam tutoring for all departmental students; hosted a presentation by members of Girls on the Run; sponsored a Red Cross blood drive; sponsored a fundraiser for PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter); and hosted a fundraiser to benefit HOPE of East Central Illinois (Coalition against Domestic Violence). The chapter requires all members to complete ten hours of community service each year.
